FTURK Governing Bodies
The management of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan is built on the principles of democracy, transparency, and collegiality. The structure of the management bodies ensures effective representation of the interests of all member organizations.
HIGHEST BODY – THE CONGRESS
The Congress is considered competent to transact business if it represents at least two-thirds of the Federation's member organizations and is attended by at least two-thirds of the delegates elected from them. Decisions of the Congress are considered adopted if more than half of the delegates participating in the voting vote in favor. The voting procedure for adopting decisions of the Congress is determined by its delegates. An extraordinary Congress of the Federation is convened by the General Council or at the request of the authorized bodies of at least one-third of the Federation's member organizations. The decision to convene an extraordinary Congress and its proposed agenda shall be announced no later than one month in advance.
General Council of the FTURK
The governing body during the period between Congresses. It is formed from the heads of sector-level trade unions that are members of the FTURK. Meetings of the Council are held at least twice a year. The Council determines the strategic directions of the Federation's activities and approves the budget along with its execution reports.
Executive Committee of the FTURK
The permanent executive body of the Federation. It is elected by the Council of the FTURK. It carries out the operational management of current activities and implements the decisions of the Congress and the Council. It is headed by the Chairperson of the FTURK.
Revision Commission
The control body of the Federation that audits financial and economic activities. It is elected by the Congress for the duration of its term of office. The report of the Revision Commission is presented at every Congress of the FTURK.
