On 3 June, a two-day training seminar for trade union activists and human resources specialists of Kazpost JSC commenced in the city of Semey. The event was organized by the Branch Trade Union of Information, Communications and Telecommunications Workers.

Opening the seminar, Chairman of the Branch Trade Union of Information, Communications and Telecommunications Workers Ablai Abishev emphasized the importance of improving the legal literacy of trade union leaders and strengthening social partnership within labour collectives. Representatives of the company’s trade union organizations and HR departments from all regions of Kazakhstan are taking part in the event.
The seminar’s lead expert is Lyazzat Yesszhanova, Deputy Director of the FTURK Trade Union Communications Centre, international trainer-facilitator of the ILO International Training Centre (ITC ACTRAV Turin), and an expert in labour relations.

The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan places special emphasis on the continuous training of trade union personnel and activists from its affiliated organizations. As part of this systematic work, FTURK, together with the Branch Trade Union of Information, Communications and Telecommunications Workers, organized the seminar to familiarize participants with the latest developments in labour legislation, issues related to strengthening the legal status of trade unions, and modern approaches to the prevention and settlement of labour disputes.
During the seminar, Lyazzat Yesszhanova conducted a session devoted to enhancing the legal standing of trade unions in the world of work, provided a detailed overview of recent amendments to labour legislation, and presented practical recommendations for preventing and resolving labour conflicts and disputes.

As part of the programme, Chairman of the Branch Trade Union of Information, Communications and Telecommunications Workers Ablai Abishev shared his practical experience in the settlement of labour conflicts and disputes. He spoke about the development of social partnership, the establishment of constructive dialogue between employers and employees, and practical mechanisms for resolving conflict situations arising in labour relations. In addition, participants discussed current issues and received answers based on real-life practical cases during an open dialogue session.
The seminar will continue on 4 June. The second day’s programme includes a meeting of the Branch Trade Union Council, practical workshops for HR specialists and trade union activists, as well as discussions on current issues in social and labour relations.

The event is aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of trade union leaders and HR specialists, promoting social dialogue, and strengthening the protection of the labour rights of Kazpost JSC employees.
